Akina walked to the crystal-clear river. She had expected to see more people around, but came to discover there was no one there at all. She had heard many people came here, but guessed she came on a day where no one came. She was a little disappointed since she had hoped to meet someone and maybe even make a friend. 'Maybe it just wasn't meant to be...'She thought.
She sat down on the edge of land letting her feet dip into the cool water. There were several birds out and singing. Akina got a better look at them and saw they were robins. Akina turned her attention back to the river and set her small harp down near a large rock. She then took off her one dress, but she was wearing what seemed to be a white tank-top and some white shorts.(ooc:It's nothing too revealing,so don't worry) She then jumped into the water.
She had let out a small yelp as her body was hit with the water. She then poked her head above the water looking around. Akina looked up at the sun. It was a hot day,so eventually the cool water felt very soothing. Akina then started swimming around for fun.

With a disgruntled sigh, Aizan drops onto the banks of Narube into a crosslegged position. Traveling from a Renais-Grado border town to a river between Rausten and Jehanna took certain tolls. Everything hurt. Her back, her neck, her sword arm from fending off monsters in a skirmish on the way...
Frowning for no apparent reason, Aizan takes out a vulnerary, bites on the cork, and yanks down. There is a wound on her shoulder taken from a previous battle which bothers her--despite a previous vulnerary it refused to heal completely and she was beginning to think it was poisoned.
Still, a little instant relief wouldn't hurt (haha, that's irony for you). Aizan relaxes as soon as the liquid hits the injury and has a thought about unbuckling her sword for a quick dip in the river, before a flash of white catches her eye.
Without turning Aizan looks over and sees another girl. A troubadour, maybe--there was a harp close by. Instantly her frown returns. Of all the luck in the world she has to be stuck at River Narube with a troubadour. They were either disgustingly cheerful or disgustingly angsty, or even switching between the two moods.
Normally, when faced with a person of such a class, Aizan would have gotten up and left as quietly as possible, but this time her legs simply would not cooperate. She sighs in defeat, drags herself down to the edge, and cups some water in her hands to drink before sitting up straight.
After a moment of contemplation, Aizan takes out her sword. Holding it firmly by the hilt, she sets the entire weapon just under the surface of the water, letting the river's gentle current wash it clean of grime, sweat, and blood. Once satisfied, she wipes the blade carefully before sheathing it again.
This was as good a time as any to prepare for a future skirmish. Aizan was planning to train in the Tower of Valni later on and it wouldn't do to get there already tired.
If she could just remember where that shop was she'd buy some vulneraries... No--an antitoxin for her shoulder was what she wanted.
Said shoulder begins to prickle again, and Aizan scowls when she twitches slightly from reflex.
"Ugh."

Vanessa had been sent to deliver a message to Joshua, also known as the Tempest King, in Jehanna. Titania, her pegasus flew gracefully and swiftly through the open, blue skies. The sun had just risen and shown brightly in the east, casting a pale light. The falco knight took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet morning breeze. She probably had nothing else to do for the rest of the day.
Below Vanessa lay the crystal-clear waters of the Narube river, where she could also spot two figures, one of which dived into the gentle current, the other sitting on the edge of the water. The latter seeming to be hurt.
Being the sincere and kind person that she was, the falco knight tugged on her reigns, guiding her pegasus towards the ground. Vanessa tucked her bangs behind her ear, as she dismounted Titania a few good yards from the river and strode over to the warrior sitting on the bank.
"Hello miss," she started. "I was just passing by and noticed that you are hurt... can I be of any assistance?"

Aizan looks up sharply and stands as an unfamiliar falcoknight lands in front of her. The short green hair and sincere concern easily brings to mind a certain Vanessa, who had participated in the War of the Stones. However, Aizan chooses not to say anything about it and shakes her head at the question.
"It's just a scratch that's been poisoned. Nothing an antitoxin won't cure." She suddenly has an idea and remarks, "Say, you seem to know your way around Narube. Can you tell me where the shop is?"
Hopefully, it wasn't too far or Vanessa might just offer to give her a ride. It wasn't really the height that bothered Aizan, it was the fact that Vanessa might ask questions about how she'd gotten poisoned. Answering questions in general made her slightly more snappish than usual.

Vanessa shook her head. "The nearest shop is miles away. You'll never get there on foot by nightfall-- not with that wound anyway." She nodded over at Titania, who was nuzzling at the green grass, apparently hungry. "I'm in no hurry. I can give you a ride on my pegasus, if you don't mind the heights."
The falcoknight motioned for Aizan to follow, as she clicked for Titania, who seemed a bit reluctant to leave the sweet grass. Vanessa didn't bother asking the warrior about her wound. It was personal, after all and if an antidote could take care of it, there's no point in being worried.
"Do you need a boost?" she asked, while holding on to the pegasus' reigns.

Bah! Blast pegasus knights and their innate sense of chivalry and humanity! Aizan resists the urge to scoff and sighs instead, accepting the offer.
"No, thank you. I'll get on myself."
Not bothering to put some graciousness into her tone, Aizan observed the pegasus absently. Horses and pegasi were just about the same, but for the wings, so she'd just have to do a bit of maneuvering.
She finally climbs up, rather awkwardly, but settles into position after adjusting her sword.
"To the shop, then," Aizan remarks with half-hearted enthusiasm. Somehow she'd known it'd come to this. The narrow bridges which were spaced ridiculously far apart didn't help. Even a mere half mile from the other side of the river would have meant endless trekking to and fro between them.
This was clearly a sensible, lucky opportunity that would save time and energy. Being a rather non-sociable person who had no particular preference for either humans or animals, the only problem was that Aizan just didn't like it.

Vanessa thingyed an eyebrow at the young warrior. She seemed at bit on the... err... illmannered side? The falcoknight had to resist the urge to laugh, as Aizan awkwardly hoisted herself up onto Titania, who on the otherhand appeared rather annoyed at all the struggling. Vanessa hopped up behind Aizan, taking hold of the reigns.
"Hold on tight," she voiced quietly, giving the pegasus a nudge. Titania instantly jutted forward, flapping her white, feathery wings. After cantering a few yards, the flying beast managed to gain balance and leap into the air, wings spread out widely.
Titania climbed higher in altitude, as the two passengers held on tightly. Vanessa peered down at the river, as it shined in glory. "What were you doing at Narube river?" she asked Aizan.

Aizan paused a moment to think, then replied tersely, "I was going to the Tower of Valni to train."
Aizan stretched--or attempted to stretch, since she was, in fact, on an airborne pegasus. There was a terrible kink in her lower back that had sprung up as soon as she'd mounted the winged horse. That was one reason being a famous general like Duessel or Seth had never been a childhood dream of hers.
She hated to admit it, but she wanted to be like the late Queen Ismaire. Deadly, yet beautiful. And she'd passed that skill onto her son, Joshua, along with her good looks and long red hair.
Aizan stopped before she could list the differences between herself and Ismaire, catching a thought. Not too long after the war had begun, she'd bumped into an attractive redheaded swordsman while leaving Serafew's arena. Of course, after getting yelled at by a Grado soldier she'd up and left immediately, but she did remember he'd been considerate enough to ask how she was.
And that reminded her of Gerik, just as it had before. Aizan's eyes narrowed into a frown, then she blinked and relaxed, sighing a little before regaining her usual neutral expression.
